Who and what is the (black) figure? This class will explore the origin, psychology, joys and expressions that create the figure. No prior experience necessary. Our time together is a sacred, naked and free. Leave all judgements and preconceived notions at the door. We are dancing in uncharted waters.

I AM INTISAR (EHN-TI-SAR)

Intisar (Ehn-ti-Sar) Hamilton is a North Philadelphia born & based, multi-disciplinary, contemporary artist. With the debut of (black) eve in 2016, Hamilton has expanded the persona and practice to explore the ever shifting intersections of being a free black woman in America.

In 2018, she co-founded Studio 1517 with her husband & partner Joaquim (Wakeem) inside their historic apartment building. From 2018-2020, the pair featured & collected works of 10  burgeoning local artists to form The Hamilton Collection.
